North Lancashires only clay pigeon shooting ground
Withets clay shoot was established in 1987 by Stephen J Fawcett gunsmiths of Lancaster, as a small sporting layout.
In the summer of 2006 Mick and Sally Nicholson acquired the ground installing a fixed DTL, ABT and SKEET layouts set to C.P.S.A regulations
to work along side the sporting layouts, to offer a wider variety of shooting.
Withets clay shoot is set 50 acres of north Lancashire countryside, with views over looking the Lake district and Morcambe bay.
Withets, unlike many other grounds is run by keen shooters for shooters of all abilitiesMick Nicholson is currently one of the top AAA sporting shooters in the country. competing regularly at registered shoots.
In 2008 Mick competed in the world championship at Lakenheath representing England, where he won a gold medal for his country.
Therefore Mick is able to teach and advise both beginners and advanced shooters.
Sally Nicholson has only been competing for the last 2 yrs with Micks help and advice she has managed to achieve a place on the North England team in 2008/09.
Mick is sponsored by Zoli guns imported by S.J Fawcett Gunsmiths of Lancaster so thers is always a range of Zoli guns available to use at Withets.
